    A) Internship update:

    This week of my internship I was able to Re design the logo of my internship (Unity for equality) within the colors of the Egyptian flag at least 5-6 designs. At first I was lost in regards to creating the designs. Until I was able to read the assignment over and over (i don’t know why i had that moment). The deadline was on Wednesday June 9th. Fast Forward, my supervisor critiqued my work she mentioned that, “the logos are designed correctly”

    B) Networking:

    What Stood out to me in the article “Getting offline – Networking Tips for design students” On the site https://justcreative.com/networking-tips-for-designers/ Is have a “one on one meetings with a professional designer” and “Network before & after conferences.” The reason why It stood out to me because you want to learn from someone that is higher than you , so you can improve how to better your work or portfolio. Also, study people that Have what you WANT ! This paragraph “Network before and after conferences” why it stood out to me is because, before the conferences it mentions to email or reach out to people on social media. Ask people that are your profession to attend with you. You may not know who will be attending so it never hurts to ask. After the event, its a good idea that you stick around and connect with other designers in a calm environment. Do not feel like your annoying when it comes to asking questions to other designers. Last but not least, If they have events in person I would recommend you go to in person than on zoom because you would feel the energy behind it when you speak with someone.

    C) Networking on my own:

    I haven’t been to a lot of those due to the fact that i would be super occupied with school work and felt like my portfolio wasn’t up there at the time to receive feedbacks. Thats something i regret but it never hurts to network on my own with professionals. But I have network with other business owners that are not designers in regards to me being a graphic designers. I had few people gave me some constructive criticism how to improve my business and my work (That are designers and some professors as well) I ended up getting new clients. My goal is to network with other designers as well and do one on one meetings with them.

    D) Ethics

    Us a designers we have the right to choose whatever type of work we want to work on. Not only that, we have to protect our energy in regards to people that come across us and not everyone is going to have your best interest at heart. This quote stands out to me because “Graphic designers should know from early on in their career who would they not design for and who would they design for, keeping in mind that what a graphic designer creates is a message for an audience.

    “Second quote that caught my attention is: “Since most graphic design products fall under this category, graphic designers would most likely have to face those same ethical issues faced by advertisers and advertising agencies.”

    Ethical Issues in the Graphic Design Business

    Third quote that stood out to me is;

    “it illustrates how protective people are about finding their copyrighted images used online without permission.”

    I believe that copyright should be used when it comes to publishing your work due to the fact that people are evil and will use your work against you and pretend that they created it. As adding the watermark to the design it gives it full credit.

    In the past i have been in situations where I be like I shouldn’t never done business with them or decline their design idea. But then I realized in life you have to go through trials and tribulations with anything you do especially when you have a business. Also, you have to protect your image and it can affect your business. Last but not least, your work environment as well.

    E) As I was watching the video, I feel like designer shouldn’t put that individual on hold when a client is calling them its unprofessional. Also, the employee is taking this situation lightly instead of taking it to the next level and I dislike the fact that he is not taking responsibility of the way he’s acting
