Good Evening, My name is Summer Solano. I’m a senior at city tech and pursuing in Communication design. My focus is Graphic & Web design. Also, outside of school I freelance meaning I take clients on the side. Im the founder of Published by Sumz. My GPA is a 2.50 (Yes i may not have the greatest GPA but my work speaks it for myself)
What is Published by Sumz ? P.B.S is a Black-Latina owned Graphic design company I founded In late December 2018 While I was at Kingsborough Community college . I decided to take clients while i was attending school due to the fact that I was struggling looking for a part time job to make ends meet. So why not bring more content in Graphics and take my brand to the next level as becoming my own boss.
I have experience in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe indesign, WordPress, Shopify, and Wix. I’m still a intermediate with Adobe XD. I’m also bilingual so yes I speak Spanish and read as well.
The process of looking for an internship, was Stressful because some agencies or companies had their own requirements that I didn’t match. Sometimes i would get accepted to one and from there they would either forget about me or give me a run around. However, I have two internships at the moments (including with the one for this semester) I’m Grateful that I have an internship because im ready to create and learn new ideas.

C) What Blog catches my attention is on https://eyeondesign.aiga.org/ due to the fact that it has different types of design such as Web , branding, printing, and illustration. Seeing content from different designers can give me a insight on how I can become a better designer than before. I like the fact that its very organized into different genre. Also, Every section on the site has articles in regards to the project. The typography for the highlight sentence. is different than most fonts that I have came across before in the past.
