From this article, I learned the history of the old logo and its author. But still, despite the historical and artistic value of the old logo, I like the new one more. I like the unity of letter lines, compactness, and elegance in the combination of two words and the attention-grabbing stylish red color symbolizing life and energy. The logo change shows that the museum is developing as a cultural institution and is working on an image to attract visitors of a new generation.
You make good points about how a new logo often is appealing to a new generation.
