With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibilities

With_Great_Power1

The greatest and most known quotes known to the audience. ā€ With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibilities.ā€ The story goes with a teenage nerdy boy whoseĀ lifeĀ changedrastically when he was bitten by a radioactive spider thus allowing him to possess an ability no man has ever possessed. However, withĀ hisĀ new spider powers, there always come the consequences. One majorĀ turning pointĀ was the death of his uncle that kept haunting him, and leaving the most famous quote that defined his existence. Ā Despite what Marvel and the movies would have us believe, this epic and powerful quote does not come from a Hollywood script writing team but from the revolutionary quote and literary in the 19th century France. The first literary record of this can be attributed to Francois-Marie Arouet aka Voltaire. Voltaire was disturbed by the sickening abuse of authority and privilege by those in power whilst the poor and deprived starved and suffered around him. Much of Voltaireā€™s work reflects on this theme, however it was in ā€œÅ’uvres de Voltaire, Volume 48ā€³ that we first hear the direct use of this phrase. Of course in Spidermanā€™s case,Ā it was quote that was directed at those who Voltaire believed to be wicked, corrupt and everything that was rotten in France at the time.

There are more things in heaven and Earth than what is dreamt in our philosophies

DREAMT4

The design above represents one of Shakespeareā€™sĀ famous quotes. TheĀ quoteĀ means that there is more to life than what we fantasizes in our dreams. The design is meant to show a ghost or an entity dancing on the plains of the grasslands showing that people should not avoid the wonders the earth has to offer to the newcomers of the world. Life may have its consequences, but there are someĀ things in lifeĀ that is beauty that we as individuals have yet to uncover.Life is aĀ giftĀ and it is the only one we will ever have. People need to explore the mysteries of the world and see its beauty.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind

FamousQuote2.2

One of Gandhiā€™s quotes that have existed to this day. The design is meant to display a person that undergoes a violent event that most people goes through to this very day. The violent action happen almost everyday and we are not aware of the hardships that each person went through. The quote also demonstrate how violent wars and fights can be that we, the people are blinded by our rage. Gandhiā€™s approach to violence was not of violence but solving the manner peacefully by not fighting back. Easier said than done some people might say but to the well minded people, we must see through the hearts of individuals and approach them.

My trip to the United Federation of Teachers

My trip to the United Federation of Teachers was an astonishing trip to the point that make me change my views of printing. The printing is taking to a whole new level that redefines that evolution of printing and art. The art of printing has new forms of things waiting to happen. I felt new paper forms on the palm of my hand and it changed my views forever. Now there is an evolution of 3d printing that really had me interested. Printing in the form of trigonometrically architects and internal designing. It really shows its more architectural designing and its machinery that revolves around printing. The designing had me interested in ways not even myself can describe.

In the trip, I saw various types of machines that performs a very specific function of either folding envelope to printing on very certain material papers. The one that interested me was the paper cutting machine that allows the cutting board to cut the paper without leaving any error-cut. The machine detects your hand and it is only operational if the person pushes two buttons with both hands. The different methods of printing caught my interests in how a comic book or any posters work and is made. The cutting machine can cut up to 500 sheets of paper.

What caught my interests the most was the poster that I got to see and with the magnifying glass was able to see the little pixels like a dot. The pixels represents the level of high resolution and the detail of the color on the poster. In my opinion, I just the poster is done, just by Photoshop and then print. It turns out that the whole method is not as simple as I thought it would be. The method turned out to complex in developing a good high resolution poster rather than just a regular piece of poster. What I learned is that they do not joke around when it comes down to making letters or books. They are like perfectionists making sure that every item looks and feels brand new rather than feeling just crap.

The federation of teachers shows a complex and amazing method to create methods and make posters and books. The machinery was very expensive and I was really glad that they did not have to pay for all of the equipment. The government did its part on buying and now is the job of workers to handle the method of printing and who knows maybe I would apply in creating 3d printing and making architectural shapes. The trip really opened my eyes and made me view printing as an interesting method in making paper.

MY NEW LOGO STYLE

ROBOTECH1

The Robo-tech logo is designed to demonstrate my interest in technology and its evolution in the modern era. I am interested in its evolution of technology and the next step to adapting into new forms of technologies that are holographic and new. Red is my favorite color and shows how technology is represented in my colors, but I choose red because the technology of our era is adapting to ways we can not imagine and in the future a new form of technology is made.

The three articles from Assignment 8

  • In the website, http://www.fastcompany.com/press%E2%80%90release/masters%E2%80%90of%E2%80%90design%E2%80%902009%E2%80%90why%E2%80%90, I got to explore the arts that each individual artists demonstrated. They each display a pattern of the office with its color textures and gorgeous scenes about the stadium within the horizon caught my attention on the brightness of the sun shining on the horizon. The image then leads to the nuerons in the brain and how each neuron is a repetition of an art and the artist display the light neurons on our head that are carried by protein and each light shows electrical circuits transporting data in a millisecond of time.
  • In the website, http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/139/techā€e dgeā€theā€highā€costā€ofā€free.html, What really caught my attention the most was the Coca-Cola bottle display that David Butlet display by taking the pictures of the Coca-Cola bottles that are exploded due to the amount of sugar put in. The results were staggering and the display was beautiful that each bottle of the exploded soda shooting up shows different textures and textures each bottle displays.

The Trip to the AIGA

In today’s field trip at the AIGA, I saw the first design of the invitation of the first AIGA meeting that was for only rich white people whoĀ afforded a 1000 to pay for the program, in which case, in today’s AIGA, it only costs 50 dollars to enter (thank goodness for that.). I got to see the graphic of books of the designs of different people like the artist who created the art of Superman icons in the 1800’s and many interesting concepts like the portfolios, and the designs of the Honor wall really caught my attention. The one important lessons that the guide told us is that the art and designs that each graphic artists make expresses mood and character. The key concept of graphic design is to express a person’s mood and that is what each individual artists demonstrated in the cups while in the offices of the graphic designers. The trip wasĀ astounding and allowed me to get a better picture of what graphic designing really is. I still am concerned about the whole idea of the election papers being designed in a way Bush would win for presidency. Was it meant to confuse us or let him win on purpose. Who knows? But either way, It does not discourage the fact of my interests in graphic designing. The trip held interesting artwork and the books recording to the time of designs and its structures. The chicken without the head was kinda disturbing to me and catches my attention due to the fact that there are things in life that makes us not keep the head of the game and stay focus through our personal goals in life.GalleryNorthĀ CedarCounty_SampleBallot_Nov2006CRI_104927 (1)

The picture of the headless chicken displays a shock to me, and it left me to question what does it mean. The artist display a good representation of an art that shocks people and leaves them to question

My trip to the Letterpress

downloadThe trip to the Letterpress was an astonishing experience because there was an old printing press that displayed a style of crafting ink on paper. In history class, my professor mentioned that older technologies determine newer technologies and that theory contributes to the print press. In the letterpress, I was able to use the printing press and print ink on paper. I was nervous that the printing press may clobber may hand, but I got over my fear and the experience was proved astonishing. Without the invention of the printing press, society would have a hard time writing books and it would take months or years to complete a book.
