Assignment #9

Product: Madcatz’ Arcade Sticks

Target Audience: The fighting game community which would be mostly (but not entirely) young men from ages 18+.

Benefits: A solid, reliable arcade stick that is a cut above the rest

Tone: Dramatic

Play Time: late afternoon (7-10pm) on channels dedicated to more teenage to young adult programs such as cartoon network’s toonami block.

SCRIPT: (establishing shot of a tournament scene) A guy is losing terribly while being openly mocked by his opponent. He loses and is sent to the losers bracket where he sits on the side, crestfallen, prepared to give up. As he begins to leave, A black cat with red markings and eyes appears and roars at him with the sound of a lion and jumps and lands on his controller, fusing with it and changing into an arcade stick. the guy picks it up and smiles to himself as he is called for his match. (panning shots throughout the montage) Cue a montage of him winning his way through loser’s bracket. At the end he faces the guy who mocked him throughout his first battle and proceeds to win to the mocker’s bewilderment. When he wins, the TV screen explodes, leaving the screen looking like it was tor by the claw of an animal (The MadCatz logo) while the player leaves.
