BUF 2246: Textiles

BUF 2246 Syllabus Spring 2021

BUF 2246, Textiles, provides the knowledge of fibers, yarn, textile construction, finishes, and embellishments in the fashion environment. It overviews the types of textiles, its construction, and quality. Students gain an understanding on characteristic structures between natural and manufactured fibers; as well as learning to distinguish the different textile constructions, including knit, woven, or weaves and explore various textile dyeing, printing, and finishing methods.
