BUF 3100 Trend Forecasting & Social Media Syllabus
BUF 3100, Trend Forecasting and Social Media, is examines and analyzes current colors, fibers, and fashion trends, as well as their impact upon sales forecasting. Students create a trend forecasting report for Spring/ Summer 2023, for their fashion forecasting company. The report focus on one category, one fashion product, and analyze three different trends to create a total of 6 designs. Students learn to identify the basic facts of each trend by using past forecast, research fashion trends, explore trend’s appeal to their target market, understand and apply VALS, and perform a market segmentation analysis.
