My first task as an intern was to create a few covers for their July Newsletter. I received an email with the instructions for the project and an attachment to the company branding guidelines. The guidelines specified the font, color, and the proper way to use their logo. It also included a list of Do & Don’ts which I found to be clever and easier to work with. For this assignment, I needed to use a lot of high-resolution images and made sure that each one was copyright-free. When I was offered the internship with the organization I never had to sign a confidential agreement but as a professional designer, I treated all my given projects as if they were.
