IMAG0643 IMAG0644 IMAG0642Bullying occur majority of the time in middle school and high school. They say bullying is a normal part of growing up but it is not supposed to be like that. This campaign will serve children, adolescents and schools in the Queens Village area of New York. I will inform them the meaning of bullying. I will explain how to talk about bullying and how to stand up to it safely. Giving them the understanding of bullying that bullying is unacceptable.

The outcome will be being able to notice bullying when it is happening and not be afraid to communicate with an adult. They will be able to notify an adult or teacher when bullying is occurring.

Defining the meaning of bullying which is unwanted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. Explaining to the students that bullying behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated over time. Informing the students that bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose. Children that bully are usually ones that have an unsafe home environment, probably has parents that are not to concern of their well beings. Social learning theory is a theory which is represented by the work of Bandura which is that children sometimes acquire new behaviors simply by seeing someone else perform them. Like Bandura stated, as children grow, their development is increasingly based on observational learning. Basically children are always observing and base their behaviors on models which could be parents, teachers, siblings, peers, sports, or whomever. So when a child is doing the bullying they have either been bullied at home or see the bullying that is occurring at home. (Harwood, 2007)
