Our community service project consisted of us going to a preschool in Harlem and teaching 8 children with special needs and their parents about the importance of brushing, flossing, and making healthy choices regarding dietary foods. We showed a video that children would find fun yet educational at the same time. We also tried to engage them by bringing a guest speaker ,Rex, a friendly alligator with a typodont to have the children participate in brushing and flossing. They also had story time and the children were asked to participate by helping Rex get through his day making the right choices.
