Project #1

“Night of the Living Dead” and “The Devil’s Messenger” are both movies that share a common piece of background music. The music belonged to the library of music from WRS Studios. In “The Night of the Living Dead” the music was used in the scene where Ben sits down on the couch after blocking the door and then looks in the closet and finds a gun. The music was used to create suspense and a feeling of an intense moment. In “The Devil’s Messenger” the music was used during the opening credits and the first scene. The first scene takes place in the dark room and the eerie music in the background definitely set the mood for the movie. In “The Night of the Living Dead” there is no dialogue over the music where as in “The Devil’s Messenger” there is a dialogue over it.
