5G network improves vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to infrastructure system. Faster communication would allow autonomous vehicles to make decisions a lot faster and avoid problems such as crashing into another vehicle, take alternative routes if there’s traffic etc.
Better sensors
Autonomous vehicles absolutely require the best sensors that would enable it to detect objects faster. This would allow autonomous vehicles to make gather data faster and allow it to make decisions faster. This would help autonomous vehicles detect and avoid objects when driving at high speed.
High level encrypted data interface
Autonomous vehicles are supercomputers that can be prone to getting hacked. Encrypted data is a security method that scrambles data and makes it nearly impossible for hackers to penetrate.
