Lab6 A: Parallel circuit
Reading time: 10 mins
In this prelab, we will focus on the properties of parallel circuits.
First, we need to identify parallel connection. Parallel connection doesn’t care about the location of two circuit components. When two circuit components share TWO common nodes, then these two components are called parallel connected. A common node is a flexible concept. It can be a wire, a row on a breadboard, or multiple rows on a breadboard.
Secondly, the properties of parallel circuit include three parts, the total resistance of parallel connected resistors, current of each branch, and voltage of the circuit.
The following video explained parallel circuit in details. If you are in rush, please watch from 2min to 13min.
Now you can work on the quiz on Blackboard.
