Today marked the beginning of the Physical Computing module. We can think of physical computing as sensing and controlling the physical world through hardware and software, or connecting your digital world, and the capabilities of computing, with your analogue physical reality, through interactive systems. And at the center of physical computing, we want to be thinking about HUMANS.

GAME CONTROLLERS

DDR was introduced in Japan in 1998 by Konami, as part of the Bemani series.
In Feb 2018, Konami released Dance Rush featuring an LED floor with sensors, and the ability to upload to YouTube directly.
Konami released Dance Dance Revolution A20 (“DDR Ace Two Oh”) for the 20th Anniversary of the game on March 20, 2019, featuring new, golden cabinets.

The Samsung 837 store is where we used to go for the class field trip (because unlike museums, it’s free and there are no time limits). They’re currently closed due to COVID-19.
