Summary |
||
Inspirational candidate with a positive outlook providing over 5 years in customer support. Currently working as a school nurse providing basic care needs and medical assistance for students with behavioral and physical disabilities. I am currently looking to switch careers into maternal health/labor & delivery to be able to provide compassionate, supportive care in an emotional and personal setting. My internship at Nurse Family Partnership has allowed me to observe and service vulnerable mothers and families with first time newborns. Being an advocate and a mentor for new mothers was liberating and strengthened my awareness of pre/postpartum issues. As a strong believer of maternal health mentorships, I believe I would be confident to provide effective teaching about maternal health and newborn needs.
