ECON 1101: MACROECONOMICS
In this course, I gained a comprehensive understanding of fundamental economic concepts and how the economy operates on a national scale. I explored key topics such as the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, as well as the processes of exchange. The course also delved into the role of government in the economy, national income, and its distribution, along with important measures like GDP. I learned about the consumption and savings functions, investment spending, and the multiplier principle, which explains how government spending can influence national income and output. Additionally, I studied the analysis of monetary policy, including the functioning of the banking system and the Federal Reserve, and how these institutions impact the broader economy. This class provided me with valuable insights into the complex dynamics of macroeconomics and the factors shaping economic policies.
