Lab Five was a introduction to the MIT App Inventor. The deliverable task was to design an Android phone app called HelloPurr. This app displayed an image of a cat and a button with text that read “Pet the Kitty!” that played back an mp3 audio file of a ‘meow’ sound. Since an Android phone was unavailable, the emulator accessible in the blocks editor was used to demonstrate the working app.
