About Me

Hello, my name is Derwyn Hill and I’m an avid gamer and otaku. Most people know what a gamer is, but not everyone knows what an “otaku” is or what it means. Basically, it’s another way of saying weeb which is a person who is interested in Japanese culture namely manga and anime. This interest also branches off into clothing, food and music. Ever since I was little I’ve been interested in video games and Japanese culture and out of these interest grew bigger ones.

As I got older I started to realize the complexity of video games and how they weren’t just mere time wasters they were more than that. They were a form of art that had the power to convey stories in a way that makes you feel like you were part of that world, an escape from one reality to another. Realizing this made me want to be a part of that beautiful art making process, part of the gaming industry. I want to help create these works of art give people an escape from reality and maybe even create one of my own.
