My experience at New York City College of Technology has truly been rewarding. As a graduate of their Associate degree program and a soon to be graduate of the Baccalaureate program, I can honestly say that I am ready to succeed in my profession. The Baccalaureate degree has advanced my knowledge in many different ways, teaching me to be a leader in all areas of nursing, to be culturally competent, and how important it is to portray yourself in a professional manner always. With my enrollment in the BSN, I value and see the importance of continuing educations. I always wondered if there would be a difference in the things learned and there most definitely is. The Associated program taught and gave you the hands on experience, but the bachelors increases your critical thinking skills and helps you to gain a better view on all the areas that are essential in providing optimal quality care to your clients. For this, I am very happy with my decision to enroll in the BSN program and I am sure, it will have a positive outcome on my career!
