I browsed through the Metropolitan Museum’s online collection and collected color images of 2 physical objects – an acient cat and a guitar. For these 2 images I used Adobe Photoshop to isolate the object from its background. Then saved each isolated image as a .PNG format.

Then I created a series of 2 photo-composites with my chosen objects to integrated into a landscape or scene at large-to-monumental scale. Where I used transformations and adjustment layers to make perspective and color consistent between the object and its new environment. I also adjusted the color and appearance of my artifact to emulate different materials.

Artifacts are provided from the MET online collections.
