Beliefs

I believe in the saying that nursing is not for everyone, but for those who do chose to do it there are things that they might not know they were capable of.  When I was a child I didn’t know what I wanted to be as an adult.  When I entered high school, there were programs that involved health. I had always been interested in science and thought my career path should have something health oriented.  I entered the nursing program not knowing what to expect.  As I got further into the program I realized that this was the career for me.  Continuing my nursing  education in  college has given much more perspective on the definition of a nurse .  I believe that every individual brings their own uniqueness.  You might not be the most compassionate person but you can still show that you care, whether that means telling jokes to cheer someone up or just sitting back and listening.
