Hello everyone, my name is Deborah Boladale-Johnson. I’ve been a registered nurse since 2014 and completed my associates’ degree at New York City College of Technology. I will be graduating with my BSN June 2015 from New York City College of Technology. I am extremely excited about finishing school because I can take a short break before I go for my masters. I plan to become a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN), or a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), or a Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN). I have been working as a registered nurse at New York State Veteran Home at St. Albans. It’s difficulty working as a nurse with patients with PTSD because you have to figure out different ways to redirect these residents and also because you do not know what situations/actions can trigger their PTSD. All my nursing courses have helped me to provide better nursing care to the patients/resident I will meet in my career and boost my confidence and nursing skills.
