Trend Forecast and Social Media
This course provides an in-depth examination of current color, fiber, and fashion trends, and their impact on sales forecasting. Through research and analysis, students will develop fashion forecasts for specific seasons in the apparel industry. The course covers techniques for forecasting future trends in color, fabric, silhouettes, and textures, and how to incorporate these findings into a trend forecast and merchandising plan, including mood boards, flat sketches, and spec details. Students will also learn how to communicate their ideas effectively to pattern makers and other fashion producers. Overall, this course equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to forecast and capitalize on emerging fashion trends, and develop comprehensive merchandising plans that drive sales.
