This course provides an overview of the fashion and textiles business environment, which is constantly evolving and complex. It explores both fashion wholesale and retail environments to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of various textile types and their interactions with fashion merchandisers, buyers, and retailers. Throughout the course, students will learn about the fundamentals of fibers, yarns, cloth construction, finishes, and embellishments. This knowledge is essential for determining the quality and making informed fabric choices for contemporary fashion apparel and home furnishings.
