In the European Union, certain products are subject to distinct laws and regulations known as the Integrated Tariff of the European Communities (TARIC code) when they are imported and exported.An EORI number is required for all imports, exports, and transits inside EU nations.Economic Operator Registration and Identification is referred to as EORI. All member states are required by EU law to implement the Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) program. In all electronic correspondence with Customs and other government organizations engaged in international trade, importers, exporters, and other transporters must use a distinct EORI reference number (Salvatici,2012). This implies that an EORI number is required for anyone working on import, export, or transit operations. Italy has a stable political environment, allowing the interrelationship between the other nations the United States and Europe to be of high context, allowing for more of their general agreement and their words to one another’s government to be respected within their partnership.

Italy shipped a significant amount of silk to the United States in 2022, totaling 12.27 million, according to data from the United Nations COMTRADE database on international commerce (trading economics, 2023). China (US$310M), Italy (US$149M), and the United States (US$40.9M) were the top exporters of fabrics of silk or silk waste in 2021, according to raw silk in Italy (Fusacchia, 2024). According to data on raw silk exports, Italy ranked third globally in 2021 with $27.6 million in raw silk exports. Raw silk ranked as Italy’s 805th most exported product in the same year. Italy’s top export destinations for raw silk are France ($872k), Poland ($149k), Switzerland ($91.1k), and Romania ($25.2M).
