As we approach closer to graduation, more assignment needing to be done, more stress begin to build, more tension begin to rise, more excitement begin to set in as we realize that the end of our journey is coming to an end. The program has been wonderful in molding a young, teenage student into a mature adult RN. I went from having basic information as to what a nurse was and what is entailed in the field to being knowledgeable about not only knowing what is a nurse but actually becoming a nurse and working as a nurse.
The overall program helped to mold a nursing student into a nurse that has the confidence and knowledge to go out and apply for jobs, to interact with patients from all walks of life, every ethnicity, race, gender, disease management, religion and socioeconomic status. It allowed us to be leaders while still guiding us in our greatest times of needs. City tech nursing students are one of the worlds brightest and their bachelorate preparation is one of the ones that open the students to a wide variety of patients, professor and clinical experiences.
