I have been working for Dr. James Branco for approximately three years. It is a general dental practice in an affluent area of Westchester. Even though there is only one dentist in the practice, the office is very busy and services many patients. Treatments include exams, prophylaxes, and radiographs, as well as many kinds of restorations. Recently, the practice has become involved in orthodontic treatments and the use of lasers.
When I began working for Dr. Branco, I was strictly a receptionist. At this time, I continue to work as a receptionist, but my duties have expanded. I routinely expose radiographs, process and sterilize instruments, pour up stone study models from alginate impressions, and disinfect/prepare the operatories.
