Computer Science

The Computer Science associate degree program provides students with the first two years of study leading to a baccalaureate degree in computer science, computer information science, computer systems technology, computer engineering technology or applied mathematics. It starts them toward the exciting career areas available to computer scientists.

Computer Systems Technology

At the associate degree level, students acquire skills in mainframe computing and are introduced to programming in COBOL, CICS, SQL, and systems such as C++ and Visual Basic.Net. At the baccalaureate level, in the only program of its kind in CUNY, students gain more advanced skills in specialized areas such as database design, Object-Oriented Systems, Unix, LANs, web design and data security.
