1.“The only truth is music.”
― Jack Kerouac
I chose this quote for my illustrated postcard. The word truth gave me an idea of a key whole. Keyholes are used in films to show something being locked or forbidden but you can see through it to see the hidden “truth”. The simpler way to represent music is through a music note. I got a great idea of a pathway leading from the keyhole to a music note. In my head, it all gave me a Disney vibe, so I added some stars to one of them.
2.“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
― Charles M. Schulz
I researched who the quote was from and it’s the maker of Charlie Brown. So I instantly thought add some of the back ground from the news paper comics. A nice small flower and some messy drawn grass was perfect. I arranged the words in many ways. I played a lot with the words “now and them” and made the word “love” bigger than the rest because it’s an important word in the quote.
