Tonal Progression – Tonal progression is a succession of color mixtures proceeding from dark to light. In addition to value change, tonal progressions also vary in hue and chromatic intensity. www.theryderstudio.com

A series of color combinations in order from lightest to darkest.

The opposite of a shade.

Tone – tone refers to the degree of lightness or darkness of an area. https://www.thoughtco.com
