Hi! My name is Brianna Salomon, and I am currently majoring in Communication Design at City Tech.
Growing up in a world of technology, from the age of ten I was exposed to photo/video editing software (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Splice, etc.). I would use these programs as a means to express myself, similar to the way people use drawing or writing as a form of expression. I did not seriously consider pursuing a career in Communication Design until I was fourteen. It was then, with the help of a program called Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), I had started my own logo designing business called Logo On The Go. I was able to gain more experience with graphic design while also learning how to maintain clients and manage a business. The following year I decided to major in Graphic Design at Chelsea Career and Technical Education High School. By the time I was seventeen, I became certified in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
My work experience so far involves being co-editor for both my High School’s online newspaper and Yearbook, making logos for numerous clients, and creating public displays of art for a client. I am looking to obtain a bachelors in Communication Design and pursue a career as a Marketing Director, preferably working for an advertising firm.
