Defining Childhood Obesity

childhood ob1

First we need to define what childhood obesity really is.

Childhood obesity is when the child body weight is above the expected weight he or she should be at his or her age and height. Another way to understand this clearly is, if the child’s body mass index is over the 95th percentile including the factors of there age and height they are considered obese.

We looked at website that we government and organization based. We came across very reliable information that we can use. All the website described the definition in a similar way.
