I believe that nursing is a profession that combines academic knowledge with a belief that all humans are entitled to receive healthcare in a manner that is congruent to fairness and human dignity. As a nurse, I believe that the nursing profession has the power to ensure that all populations receive the needed health services to uphold both their quantity and quality of life regardless of human variables such as race,sex,religion, socio-economic level and lifestyle preference(LGBT,etc.). While I believe that the basics of nursing would always be rooted in the bedside care of one client to one nurse, it is interesting to know of the many different pathways that registered nurses could take professionally to continue making differences in the lives of their clients (e.g. Nurse Practitioner,etc.). Anyway, being twenty four years old, I look forward to having a long nursing career and serving my clients in the best way possible.
