In evaluating myself throughout my life or nursing career, I do not find difficulty to identify my strengths. A good time management skill is a one of the strengths that I possess. There may be times while working as a nurse when we just fell overwhelmed with your work load, well I found this kind of stress almost every day because I am not only work full time but also take three classes per semester for the past two years. The best way I learned to handle it is to look over my work agenda and school work assignments ahead and determine what assignments cannot wait. If I encounter a task that I cannot handle own my own, I never afraid to ask for help and I always make sure to get my assignments done on time.

Reliability and flexibility are other two strengths that I possess. To be reliable means your coworkers and your boss could count on you. I always keep my promise and make my patients satisfy with the services that I provided. Nursing is a profession that often requires to work long periods of overtime, late or on the weekends. I am always flexible to cover for other nurses when they needed the help.

Another strength that I have is I am able to take nursing course and get a nursing degree in another languageā€”Chinese. It is not rare to see people who can speak two, three or even four languages in New York, but not all of them are fluent in speaking, writing, and reading in those languages. I am very proud of myself that I am able to read, write and speak fluently in Chinese, and the medical terminology in Chinese. I translated the whole ā€œSaunders Edition 5th Review for NCLEX-RN Examinationā€ review book from English to Chinese and shared it with my Chinese classmate back in 2012.
