With my internship I was able to gain the following experiences:
- Do home visits at different nursing homes.
- Learn about guardianship and the laws under Article 81.
- Learn about different assessment tools when working with children.
- Embracing a new culture in the Bronx and how to work with clients from that borough.
Bronx Community Guardianship Network Inc., where I did my internship is a non-profit agency who provides services for both adults and children. The agency provides mental and legal advisement for under served populations. My internship experience there has enhance my planning skills and assist me in designing strategies to work with this population.
