It is amazing how Masaccio and Brunelleschi painted the Holy Trinity in sections and over a span of almost a month, and how all the sections come together to create the perspectival masterpiece. Since it was the first painting of its kind, viewers must have been amazed and overwhelmed by its novelty. A person seeing it at the time would have been given the effect that god is right there in the room with them, and praying in the church of Santa Maria Novella must have been a great religious experience for them.

I agree. The Holy Trinity was put together in sections but it looks like one whole place of work. It is Amazing how Masaccio and Brunelleschi used ropes to guide them to make a linear painting with such detail. Its does feel like your in the room with them because of the way the rope to guided them.
