“Real Art” vs. Digital Reproductions

When people go to museums, there is a certain feeling that goes through them when they experience the art in front of them. You can only really get that true feeling when the “real art” is in front of you. Do not get me wrong though, there are many positive sides to digital reproductions. For example, if the artwork is in a different country then like Italy, then digital reproductions will definitely be of good use to the people living in the united states that cannot make it out there. Another thing that i want to point out is that from what i can see from the link that the professor provided for us, the imaging is crystal clear. You can see the artwork as it were the real thing right in front of you.

The point that I am trying to get at is if you have the opportunity to see the art in its “real” form, then that would definitely be the way to go.

One Response to “Real Art” vs. Digital Reproductions

  1. i believe real art is better because you view the art right in front of you rather then on a computer. real art makes you feel like you are apart of the art and you also get to see more details in the art. sometimes digital reproductions does not always show you all the details of the art.
