The FIGMENT sculpture terrace on Governors Island is filled with art made of recycled materials like Alexander Lockwood’s giant bottle cap shakers. The exhibition is FREE.
Every summer Governors Island in New York Harbor is open to the public on weekends with free ferry service from downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights. Access to Governors Island is free through September 25 (Fridays-Sundays only). The island is filled with art, sound installations, and numerous activities including mini golf.
