Electronic Profile Assignment

I’m Amber Rogers and I’m 19 years old. I’m of Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Irish decent. I’m also a pisces (March 10 is my birthday). I’m a proud mother to a beautiful baby named Jade. I just recently switched my major from Human Services to Hospitality Management.

My college experience so far has been decent. I’m looking forward to it getting extremely better now that I started the major I really wanted. So far I’d say I’m a B student. My academic goal is to be at least a B+ student, if I go up to an A that’s even better.

Job-wise I’ve been working in retail for the past three years in different places: Necessary Clothing, Toys R Us, Sunglass Hut, and Macys. Career wise I want to be an event planner. I want to do so many things in that field once I get the chance. I want to organize entertainment on cruise ships and nightclubs. I also want to have celebrity cliental once I’ve been working for X-amount of years. My ultimate goal is to work as a wedding planner, I want to plan beautiful weddings and have my own show like David Tutera (if I’m lucky).

As previously stated I’m interested in event planning. I actually practice on fictional events and try to get creative, even with my daughter’s 1st birthday party. I think of a theme and try to research as much as I can on it to spark my creativity. For example, Cinderella; disney princess, glass slipper, mice for friends, evil step mother… (I brainstorm). Then I research and get creative. Lollipops in the shape of tiaras, miniature pumpkins painted blue and white with sparkles to represent Cinderella’s horse and carriage. It’s good to practice because my mediocre ideas can always get better in time.
