I have always had the inner desire to care for the overall well-being of the people around me especially those who are seeking medical attention. It also has always enthralled me how quickly a medical team coordinates an emergency situation when time is the essence. My source of inspiration to choose this field of healthcare comes from my mother who is a registered nurse who has always been passionate about treating patients with utmost care and attention. I also chose this profession so that I can learn to be more sensitive to other people’s needs and be more productive in a short amount of time. Being a dental hygienist will allow me to serve the oral health needs of a community and extend my services to the underserved population and those areas lacking access to dental care.
