This was one of the first assignments in the program where I went to a nursing home to teach older patients how to take care of their dentures and how to brush and floss their teeth. I enjoyed being with the residents because they were busy telling me their fun stories at the dentist appointments.
Public Health Project (CTC to prevent ECC)
This unique project helped us to understand more about ECC. We chose pregnant patients as our target population because it is through the mothers the primary caregivers that the children learn healthy habits. We all look forward to carrying this learning experience to our future pregnant patients in our practice.
