Patient A

46 year old Hispanic male.
MH – Hypertension, smoker.
CC – staining.
Dental – Presented with generalized CV carious lesions, generalized acid erosion, moderate interproximal and lingual stain.
Perio Type III.

Patient was immediately referred to DDS/Oral Surgeon/Periodontist. He chose to continue hygiene therapy at the clinic where a full mouth series of radiographs were exposed and full mouth quadrant handscaling was completed with adjunctive use of the prophy jet and ultrasonic. Due to the extent of decay on the clinical crowns of the patient’s teeth ultrasonic instrumentation was limited only to post-scaling lavage. Oraqix was administered as needed for patient comfort.

Patient was placed on a three month recall and urged to seek care from specialists.
