During my spring break senior year, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dr. Nancy Ekelman, one of my clinical professors and amazing periodontist. With her help and patience, I had a first-hand experience in the world of Periodontics and was exposed to different procedures including crown lengthening, extractions with bone grafts, free gingival grafts, gingivectomies, and etc.
