Philosophy

I believe that Nursing is a calling for the bravest hearts. You have to be strong, not just physically, but most of all mentally. The compassionate heart of a nurse can aid in restoring a patient’s health or if only to put a smile on their faces and make them feel that someone cares. A nurse is responsible not only to aid in the healing of an individual’s body but also their mental state. Our responsibilities as nurses are to focus solely on our patients. Providing all their needs; whether it is to console their families or getting a bed pan. We are the patient’s best advocate. We are to be vigilant for errors in their care and be their voice, addressing issues pertinent to the patient’s needs. We are to uphold the greatest standard of care going above and beyond, a superhero in their time of need.
