We like to take pictures of things that inspire us, that makes us happy, that we want to save for the future. A lot of the moments that people described were memories of the past when when people felt sympathy and compassion provoked by the suffering or misfortune of another person. Nobody wants to take pictures of that. For me that’s what makes them unphotographable. These images are somewhat stuck in our minds. The descriptions were so detailed that when I closed my eyes I was able to imagine each one of them. The common thing about them is that they could happen to anyone and that they all happened in that exact moment. Seeing a homeless person in a train happened in that moment and in that particular place. Being late for the train and you wouldn’t see it…
