If y=ax+b is the tangent line to the graph of the function y=f(x) at x=x0 then what is the slope of the tangent line to the graph of the function y=f^2(x) at x=x0?
A chain rule problem. The composition is f with itself.
y’=2f f’
y'(x0)=2f(x0)f ‘ (x0)
=2 (ax0+b) a= 2a (ax0+b)
