5. The volume of a sphere of radius is . What is the average rate of change of the volume when the radius increases from to ?
So f(x1) is (4(pi)(1)^3/3) which equals to 4.18
f(x2) is (4(pi)(3)^3/3) which is 113
Avg rate is f(x2)-f(x1)/x2-x1
(113-4.18)/(3-1)
So the avg rate is 54.41?
i TRIED TO THIS PROBLEM AND THIS IS THE ANSWER THAT I GOT, BUT I DON’T KNOW IF IT’S RIGHT.
V(3)-V(1)/(3-1)
= (4π(3^3)/3 -4π(1^3)/3)/(3-1)
= (4π(27)/3 -4π(1)/3)/(2)
= (108π/3 -4π/3)/(2)
= (104π/3)/(2)
= 52π/3
= 54.45
