Homework (10%): 

Each class session you will be assigned online homework to be completed in WeBWorK.  All problems completed will earn points towards your homework grade. Completing 85% or more of the assigned WeBWorK content will earn you the full 10%.

Quizzes (10%):

Each class session will begin with a 15 minute quiz that covers the topics from the prior session. On days that exams are held, no quiz will be given. Quiz problems will be discussed immediately following each quiz, so there will never be make-ups for missed quizzes.

For every 5 quizzes taken, students will earn the right to drop one quiz score. There will be between 20 and 25 total quizzes over the semester, so any student that arrives on time to class every day will be able to drop at least their 4 lowest quizzes.

Exams (60%): There will be 3 exams during the semester, each counting for 20% of your overall grade. No makeup exams will be given. If you miss an exam for a valid reason, your final exam score will take the place of the missing exam.

Final Exam (20%): The final exam is given on the last day of class covering all topics. The final exam must be taken to pass the course, and it will count for 20% of your grade.
