Decoding Stereotype – Volume 1
The excellent work included in this volume addresses the use of stereotype in adverting media. The writers have decoded ethnic, religious, racial, gender, or other stereotypes, identified how they are used to sell a product, and demonstrated how the media industry has reinforced (or challenged) societal biases of the time.
