Money diaries are becoming their own genre. In addition to this magazine article by Roxane Gay, there is a regular series on Refinery 29 “Money Diaries.” I encourage you to read these diaries and consider your own daily expenses, Note that a money diary requires more than a tabulation of expenses. A money diary includes reflection on what is spent and why.
